My daughter’s name is Maya and she just turned 4 on February13. She was diagnosed with Stage 4 neuroblastoma in August 2018. She has endured many treatments, scans and long term side effects but she has been NED (no evidence of disease) since December 2019. Maya has been doing amazing for the past year and every scan still shows NED.

She is currently taking a trial drug called DFMO that will help from relapse. She still has one more year of taking this drug. With the chemo late effects, she did have to get hearing aids. She is doing really well with them. I was very shocked she doesn’t fight us putting them in or wearing them every day. Even when I forget to put them in, she will come to me, and say mom you forgot to put my hearing aids in.
