CUT YOUR COAT ACCORDING TO YOUR SIZE: Ego, pride and lack of contentment always lead people to place themselves where they are not. It is good to aim high, it is good to have great ambition and it is good to dream big dreams but we have to understand that a journey of one thousand miles would have to begin with a step. We have to count one before we count two. It is a mark of a humble person to accept themselves for who they are while they are hoping, dreaming and working for a better tomorrow. Be comfortable at your level even as you are working hard to get to the next level. It is not a good idea to portray yourself as nothing close to who you really is. It is not wise to spend more than you earn. It is deceptive to live in a certain way as to make people believe that you are who you are not. It is better to live within one’s means. Go for what you can afford. Stop living fake lifestyle, stop putting up a show, stop trying to impress people. Anyone who doesn’t cut their coat according to their size would be living an inauthentic, fake , pretentious and deceptive lifestyle. People like that are always worried and restless should someone find out their true state of affairs. People like this lie a lot, they are not truthful to themselves and they can’t be truthful to others. They want to be seen in a certain light. Be comfortable in your own skin. Be happy with your present even as you pursue your future. Try and live within your means. Some people want to use the same phone Dangote is using while they know they don’t have as much money to buy it as Dangote. Some people wants to fly a private plane like Donald Trump when they barely can feed on three square meals a day. Some people want to compete with celebrities, politicians, successful business moguls and Billionaires, they want to wear what they wear, have what they have, buy what they buy when they do not have the resources to afford those things. Sometimes, unfortunately people who doesn’t cut their coat according to their size steal, mounts unnecessary pressure on themselves, do illegal things, soil their hands and ruin their reputation and even go extra mile to live big and flamboyant lifestyles. This is the height of self deception. Of what need for you to have 1 million dollar and you want to build a house of 1 billion dollar.
