I CANNOT SUCCUMB TO THIS TEMPTATION AND SEDUCTION TO MY BOSS’S WIFE
Joseph unfairly and unjustly ended up in prison for an offense he did not commit.
There was a FALSE accusation against him.
She lied against him that Joseph came unto her and try to force himself on her while it was her, the Potiphar’s wife who wanted to have her way with Joseph but Joseph vehemently refused. She now framed Joseph up, screwed him up, mind you, she is very powerful. She is the First Lady, the wife of the king, the most powerful man in this place then. Nobody cares what Joseph had to say. Potiphar’s wife was believed. Only God knows what people were saying about Joseph; probably calling him a rapist, immoral, loose, wayward, womanizer, and all sorts of humiliating names even when he is innocent. Who would believe him, of course no one. How do you convince people if you are Joseph. Rumors were already flying around, his reputation destroyed, his good name dragged to the mud, his character and integrity have been called into question. It has entered into his record that he is a sex offender and finally he was thrown into jail to rot in there.
LESSONS
Be careful what you hear or what you are told about people, it may not be true.
Don’t make hasty conclusions or rush into judgement so quickly.
A lot of people are suffering today or being punished for something they are innocent of.
Some false accusations maybe a way the accuser is trying to cover their crimes and evil and they think it is smart to use others by making them look bad to make themselves look good or to bring other people down and use them to climb up.
As you can see in this case, Joseph was a nobody, he has no voice, nobody to identify with him, nobody to ask questions on his behalf, nobody to fight for him, nobody to review his case, nobody was interested in the facts, nobody wanted to give him justice, he has no resources, no connection and no influence to fight for his case and future. He was all alone, suffering unjustly.
When you are a leader or in authority and someone bring an issue like this to you about another person, bearing this Joseph Story in mind, how would you handle it?
