Pastor Ismael Denis Omondi allegedly forged the constitution and meeting minutes of a rival church to divert funds to his church. Appearing before Kwale Senior Principal Magistrate Joe Omido, Omondi was accused of forging Service Ministries’ constitution to divert its funds to Restoration Kenya Ministries. As reported by The Standard, the man of God was further accused of forging minutes of the Annual General Meeting to the Registrar of Societies.

Appearing before Kwale Senior Principal Magistrate Joe Omido, Omondi was accused of forging Service Ministries’ constitution to divert its funds to Restoration Kenya Ministries. As reported by The Standard, the man of God was further accused of forging minutes of the Annual General Meeting to the Registrar of Societies.
During the Friday, July 30 court session, Omondi pleaded not guilty to the charges and spend the weekend at Diani police station awaiting bond application. The cleric allegedly committed the offence together with his accomplices on October 13, 2019, and since then, he has been on the police radar. Omondi ministers in the Upendo Baptist Church in Dallas, United States. Pastor jailed for stealing Elsewhere, a pastor of the Living Faith Church, also known as Winners Chapel, Pastor Afolabi Samuel, was handed a 3-year jail sentence after being found guilty of theft. The man of God was found guilty of stealing KSh 10 million and KSh 1.2 million belonging to congregants of the church.
The accountant and the church’s treasurer were also arraigned before Justice Mojisola Dada on two counts of conspiracy and stealing.
