The Responsorial psalm of today’s mass is Let the Lord enter, he is the king of glory.
My Reflection today is taken from the Responsorial psalm of today.
That is why I titled this reflection Let the Lord enter.
We all know today is the fourth and last Sunday of Advent .
Advent we all know means arrival or coming.
During the season of Advent we prepare and long for the coming of our Savior and Lord.
When the Lord finally comes, are we willing and ready to allow him inside or are we going to keep him outside.
God has given each of us the gift of free will to make our own choices and decisions and this gift is irrevocable.
It is up to us to decide on a personal level whether to let Jesus in or not.
In the apocalyptic book of Revelation 3: 20, the word of God clearly States that behold I stand at the door and knock, if any man hear my voice and open the door, I will come in to him and will sup with him and he with me.
Zaccheus allowed Jesus into his house and salvation came to his house and he was a free man.
Martha and Mary, friends of Jesus allowed him into their home and Lazarus their brother was healed.
At the wedding at Cana in Galilee, Jesus was invited with His mum and in that wedding water was turned into wine by Jesus to save the couple embarrassment because they ran out of wine.
Jesus was invited into Peter’s house and his mother in law was down with fever, Jesus healed her and she started waiting on Jesus.
When Jesus comes, Are you going to allow him
in your heart.
In your life.
In your family/home.
in your daily affairs
To be a part of your life’s journey.
To enter into your marriage.
To enter into your situation, condition and circumstances.
Wherever Jesus enters he gives life.
he heals
he reconciles.
He saves.
He shows mercy.
He gives peace.
He gives freedom.
He looses from bondage.
He delivers.
Things do not remain the same for good wherever he goes and enters.
Things change
There is transformation.
There is renewal.
There is redemption.
There is salvation
I wonder how many of us who need Jesus to enter into every aspect of their lives.
John 1:11 He came to his own but his own Did not receive him but to those who received him he gave them power to become sons and daughters of God.
Do not turn down the invitation on Jesus
Do not refuse him entrance
Allow him to penetrate the innermost recesses of your being.
Allow him to work and turn things around for your good.
