TEAMWORK
Someone once said, Teamwork divides the task and multiplies the success.
There are things others know that you did not know. There are gifts others have that you did not have. There are talents others have that you did not have. Therefore we have to rely on each other if we have to achieve a maximum output and success. You have to learn to work together with people. No one single person knows it all. Where you are lacking, others can supply. We complement each other. We make each other complete. Interdependence and interreliance on one another is what makes team work interesting. People’s roles, functions, responsibilities, obligations and duties should be respected. Everyone has something to offer. No one has the monopoly of knowledge. No one has all the answers. There is a saying that two good head is better than one. There is another saying that alone we can go fast but together we can go far.Team work involves partnership, collaboration and synergy. Team work entails working together for a common purpose, goal and result. Team work makes work easier. Team work encourages division of labor. Team work encourages and promotes skills and expertise and what people are good at. You cannot work in isolation. Where there is no team work, there is confusion and chaos. Someone came up with this: T E A M, T stands for Together, E stands for Everyone, A stands for Achieves and M stands for More. All put together comes to , TOGETHER EVERYONE ACHIEVES MORE.
Together, a lot could be achieved. The burden cannot be laid on just one individual. All must do their part for the overall good of the whole. If only everyone in their area, department and section could give and do their best, the whole company, firm or organization will be successful. No department is more important than the other, one department is as important as the other department. Each department is needed for the smooth running of the organization.Just as in the human body, we have eyes to see, ears to hear, legs to work, each part of the body has their specific and unique function. No single part of the body will tell the other that they are not important. The leg is as important as the nose. If anything happens to one part of the body, it affects the whole body as a whole. So for the body to be healthy, all parts of the body have to be healthy. If one part of the body is sick or hurting, the whole body will be sick and hurting. Same way is teamwork.
