THE WORTHLESSNESS AND FUTILITY OF LIFE: THE VANITY OF LIFE: THE VAIN AND FLEETING NATURE OF LIFE(Uwa bu alaba aghara)
Someone is here today and tomorrow they are gone. Imagine all the toils and labors we have to go through in life to make money and to survive and then we leave everything behind. We are one breathe away from death and what becomes of all the work out, implants, fashion, physical looks, pride, status, power, position, achievements, accomplishments and the glories of this life.
Life is vain. The world is vain. Everything in this life and in this world is vain. They are all vain and they all pass away. Nothing in this life lasts forever. Nothing in this life is worth holding on to. There come a time everything in this life will fail us, they cant’s save us. None of us will live in this world forever. Life and the world is transitory. They are ephemeral and believe it or not, one day we will leave behind everything and go. What even makes it more interesting is that we don’t know when it will be. There is no guarantee or assurance that we will live up to a certain age before we die.
Understanding life and its vanity is the key to living a fulfilled, happy, peaceful and joy filled life. We can take it one day at a time. Let us try and live a stress free and worry free life. Life is too short. Let go of any anger and resentment, let go of grudges in your heart and release yourself from such bondage. Learn to be generous and share with people who are in most need. No need to pile up things for yourself, do you know how much time you have left? Why not consider making a move to reconcile and make peace with those you are not in good terms with? Why not just take it easy with yourself, enjoy life, see every new day as a gift, be thankful, enjoy your family, enjoy your friends and loved ones, do your best and leave the rest to God, live your best life, make the required effort you need to, keep your conscience clean, do not be a part of a plan or plot to hurt or to destroy anyone in this life. The holy writ reminds us that we came into this world empty handed and we shall return empty handed. Let us live from a place of peace. Cherish and value every moment in this life and when it is time, let us die a happy people. The little time we have in this life, let us learn to use things and love people, rather than using people and loving material things. Material things can disappoint, they can fail us and there will come a time they cannot save us.
