WHAT TO DO WHEN LIFE MESSES YOU UP: Life is not fair. Life is full of ups and downs. Life is like a roller coaster. Life has a way of screwing us up and messing us up. Life is tough. Oftentimes we don’t get what we deserve. life is hard. My mum taught me that the world is not a bed of roses. As soon as we are given birth to, the first thing a child does is to cry. What is it about that cry? Why is crying the first thing a child does upon coming into the world? Why not laughter? This simply means, welcome to a tough world little baby. We often experience disappointments, setbacks, rejection, betrayal, abuse, exploitation, grief, pain, loss, brokenness and tragedy in the journey of life. Life has a way of crushing and dealing with us. Life has a way of humiliating and bringing us down on our knees. Life has a way of taming our pride, ego and arrogance. Sometimes what we don’t sue for or bargain for comes our way. We often don’t have control over what we wake up to everyday. We make plans and proposals for our future, life destroys it. We often put up structures and organizes ourselves for years ahead only to discover with dismay that its only a matter of time, life will knock down all those structures and replace them with what we are unfamiliar and not acquainted with. When life knocks you down get up and keep going. Learn from every situation, condition and circumstances in life. Do not give up hope, do not quit, do not throw in the towel. Failure sometimes is inevitable, when you fall, you rise and keep going. Learn to restrategize when your plan fails. It’s ok to cry and let out your emotions, life is going to hand you something to cry about. People will fail and fight you and disappoint you, people will not always be there for you, learn to be strong for yourself and expect less from people so that you will not be disappointed. Anchor your faith and hope in God. Understand that no one else wants you to be better than them in this life except your parents.
Always remember it could be worse.
Be positive minded and optimistic
Learn to reinvent yourself
Learn when to stay low and when to keep your head above water.
Know that there is no perfect life, no perfect human person.
Everyone has their struggles and challenges and problems.
Understand that nothing lasts forever. No condition is permanent. This too shall pass.
People will walk away, let the walk, say good bye to them.
Do not be ashamed of your scar, it shows you have been in a fight with life. Your scar is a testimony to how far you have come and also it can be a sign of hope for another person.
When the going gets tough, the tough gets going.
Keep fighting, never retreat, no surrender.
People will throw dirt on you, use it as a manure and grow with and from it.
On your road in life, you will encounter roadblocks, don’t get upset, take the detour….Ifee Ifee(For paid invitations to speak, speaking engagements, remarks, comments and reactions, email me at speakingengagement81@gmail.com)
