It must be such an awful feeling and experience that finally when you made it and become successful, your parents are no longer there to enjoy the fruit of their labor especially looking back to growing up how your parents struggled and suffered to make ends meet, to put food on the table, to pay your school fees and to send you to school. Many of such parents never enjoyed new shoes or clothes for the sake of their children, most times they went to bed hungry and starving for their children to eat enough, sometimes because of too much stress and over-stretching themselves to the point they got sick and died early. The most painful was that some of these parents died because of 1,000 Naira because at the time the family could not afford it and they couldn’t afford the medication or the medical treatment that could have kept them alive today and lo and behold, their children eventually turned out to be millionaires. What a life. Some were raised by single parents, maybe mum or dad just alone, suffering under rain and sunshine, doing menial jobs to see their children succeed and to give them a future. Now their children are successful thanks to the values and lessons hardships of life taught them growing up but lo and behold those parents are no more for their children to look them right in the eyes to say, Thank you Mum, thank you dad, if not for you. His name is Tobi, just 11years old, his dad dropped him off to the boarding school for the for his secondary school, helped him to move in and helped him settle down.He sat down with the son and had a heart to heart talk and conversation with him. He encouraged him and advised him and he finally kissed him and bade him goodbye. On his way home, the father had an accident and died. Throughout his 6 years in that school, Tobi worked so hard and made the best result and came out number one in the entire elite school, thanks to the motivation of the father. Unfortunately his dad is no longer there to celebrate his accolades and achievements which was all made possible by his dad’s support, advice and Encouragement
